Half Way Through

I am half way through with publishing my latest global warming science fiction novel “Last Week” in two installments per week on this blog.

For the time being, I like the idea of publishing in this way.

For one, it gives me the ability to point to individual parts of the novel. I don’t have that if I just publish everything in only one file.

It is also a great way to double-check for remaining spelling and grammar mistakes. I found some already while doing this.

From the point of view of the reader: It gives them the ability to just shortly look at one of the parts, which takes much less time than reading a whole book. That in turn should, all things equal, increase the number of people who have read at least one part of this particular novel.

I also kind of like the fact that with this schedule of having two installments per week on the blog, there will be not one single week in the coming couple of months with no new posts on this blog.

The alternative would probably be to use a service like Wattpad to do essentially the same thing. I don’t want to do that since I am already involved in too many platforms. I prefer keeping the things most important to me personally right here on this blog, as opposed to spreading them around all over the place.

So, on first impression, I am happy with this experiment so far.
