Ernest and Young has released a new version of their “Renewable energy country attractiveness index”. Thanks to this tweet by Markus Czerner for the link.
At page 15, they publish the results of a survey of 190 experts in the Middle East and Northern Africa countries most of interest for the Desertec project. 90 percent of them think that the project will be realized, with 54% thinking that it will be realized as planned, and 36% thinking that the scale will be somewhat smaller.
That’s interesting on its own, and it is also remarkable that such a major report on renewable energy mentions Desertec, as well it should.
