Hey, Oyu Tolgoi, You Could Build 145 MW of Solar in Five Weeks

That’s what a German project just did, says photovoltaik-Magazin (in German). Thanks to this tweet from Energiewende Germany for the link.

Of course, that kind of speed was a record even for Germany.

I hear that the Olgoi Tolgoi project has some trouble securing electricity. They could build such a project very quickly, so as to be independent from the Chinese grid. It doesn’t make much sense to give your largest customer the ability to shut your operation down anytime they want by shutting down electricity.

Unfortunately, I still have to receive any reaction to my previous open letter.
