Mongolian President Elbegdorj has talked to Japanese Prime Minister Noda yesterday, at the occasion of forty years of diplomatic relations. There is a short report on those talks up at the Japanese Foreign Ministry (English version not yet available).
Elbegdorj expressed his desire to develop the “Strategic Partnership” between Japan and Mongolia.
I think it is about time to include the idea of large-scale renewable energy from the Mongolian Gobi deserts in the talks about the “Strategic Partnership”. I recall having proposed a “Desert Community” in my book “Energy from the Mongolian Gobi desert” earlier this year.
